HD Microperfecting Primer deeply nourishes, moisturizes, and softens the skin, creating a glowing effect. Creates a protective layer on the skin allowing foundation to glide on easily and last longer.
There are 7 Microperfecting Make Up For Ever Primers, each with its own purpose. The #0 Neutral shade works with any complexion and acts to add natural luminosity.
What really surprised me about the primer was how much like a moisturizer it felt and smelled like! The primer is oil-free and incredibly lightweight and once it dried, my skin felt like skin and did not have that sort of “artificially smooth finish” that most primers tend to have.
HD Foundation is an oil-free medium-to-full-coverage liquid foundation that covers skin imperfections flawlessly while remaining invisible on-screen and in real life. This foundation creates a soft-focus effect, which is designed to meet the coverage concerns of those in the spotlight. It leaves your complexion with such a flawless finish, it can withstand bright or harsh lighting.
I always think that liquid foundations are going to feel and look heavy, but this really isn’t! I actually had to tilt my hand so that the foundation didn’t just run off because it is just that lightweight and yet I get coverage!
This is the HD Foundation in action with a full face of makeup.
Final Verdict: For a foundation that provides medium coverage, I am very impressed with how lightweight the product feels and looks on my face. It blends seamlessly into my skin without looking cakey and I never have to use a lot to get the coverage I want. I can blend away my dark circles and eliminate any redness around my nose as well. I LOVE the primer. My skin is primed, hydrated and practically begging for foundation once I’ve applied it!Having the primer seems to give my skin a bit more “pep” which is probably what is meant by “natural luminosity”! I have been interchanging the last couple of weeks between the HD and the Pro Finish, but I feel like for Spring and Summer, I will be reaching for the HD!
Do you change up your foundation as the seasons change?
