Spring is now officially here though I know in most parts of Canada, that could not be further from the truth with snowstorms and arctic weather still raging. Here in Vancouver, we have gone back to our roots of rain, but I have hope that we will see Spring soon as I am also tired of wearing rain boots with all of my work outfits. I think a lot of us have decidedly moved into Spring makeup looks and nothing says "Hai Spring!" like some Guerlain Spring goodness!
Officially launched last month, the Meteorites Happy Rosy Glow Collection is all about creating that healthy fresh-faced glow to the skin. For today's look I will be using the limited edition Meteorites Happy Glow Pearls* ($89 CDN), a multi-sized spherical delight that imparts a youthful shimmer using colour-correcting and illuminating rosy glow pearls. The lid also has a big mirror which I thought was a nice touch. This is the perfect add-on to your tabletop vanity.
Also part of the Happy Rosy Glow collection are two limited edition shades of the KissKiss Creamy Shaping Lip Colours ($45 CDN) in Pearly Pink and Blossom Glow. I received Blossom Glow* and though it is a nice shade of coral-pink, the colour looked a bit off on me which makes me think that Pearl Pink would have suited me more. I just looked really yellow. Far from the happy rosy glow this collection strives for! Formula is very creamy though and definitely makes your lips look more full.
Also part of Guerlain's Spring releases for this year is the Petite Robe Noire collection which compliment the Happy Rosy Glow collection nicely as the lip shades are slightly more intense, but go well with a radiant complexion. There are three shades of the Deliciously Shiny Lip Colours ($38 CDN): Ruby Ring, a dark red, Sun-Glasses, a bright orange and Orchid Beanie*, a bright orchid which is the shade I received. Orchid Beanie seemed to suit my skintone and hair better so I guess I will have to stick to obnoxiously bright fuchsias for now!
The only eye product in the spring releases is the new Black Lashdress Mascara* ($32 CDN) which has one of those brushes with the ball on the end to get all those little lashes at the corners. It's actually a nice little formula in that it's not too wet that my lashes start to droop, but also gives me some much needed length. It also smells really good too like all of Guerlain's products!
